Can you believe it? The Lord has blessed us! That I can believe. What was hard to believe is it took us until the end of August to do VBS. Thank You, Lord! We did get VBS in! We were able to share the Gospel with lots of children. I’m so happy! At this historical time of a pandemic, when we were told not to meet for health reasons for such a long time, we were finally able to come together and actively spread the Gospel with people who might not know the Lord. We were able to carry out our mission! I’m so happy! Oh, I guess I already said that.
This church exists as a Body of Christ to reach the lost with the Gospel of Christ, teach the believer the truth found in Scripture, train people to follow Christ daily and send fully developed disciples to live out the mission Jesus gave us. We were handicapped for over five months. We tried new things. We attempted to stay connected and to reach out. All of the new things can be used to assist in the mission, but nothing beats sitting down with people face-to-face and sharing the Gospel with them. I know I believe it. Do you?
Staying safer at home might be something we need to do at times. However, as disciples of Jesus Christ, we must continue on mission. Jesus saves us and gives us our mission. All saved people have a purpose within this mission. September is a month when we are getting back on track. Small Groups begin again on Sunday morning. The 3rd Annual Sid Harris Memorial Ride will be a great time when people can hear the Gospel. Our Night of Music with the McNeills will be another FANTASTIC way for the Good News to be shared. And, Homecoming with the McNeills and Gary Herndon will be SPECTACULAR. We are making plans to remain safe as we meet. Invite your friends and family. This is the perfect time to be on mission. You can believe it!

Pastor Jerry Jeter
