Our Youth Ministry: Grounded in Truth, Walking in Power Our youth ministry exists to see a generation of young people transformed by the Gospel. We believe that the teenage years are not a "waiting room" for real life but can be a vital season for spiritual awakening and foundational growth. Our ministry is built on four core commitments:
1. Leading Students to a Saving Knowledge of Jesus the starting point of everything we do is the Gospel. We recognize that every student is created by God but separated from Him by sin. We point students toward the finished work of Jesus Christ—His life, death, and resurrection. Through weekly gatherings, intentional outreach, and a variety of kinds of events, we provide a clear and compelling call for students to enter into personal, covenantal relationships with Jesus.
2. Anchoring Students in Biblically Sound Teaching In a world of shifting cultural sands, we aim to help each student to be firmly grounded on the solid, immovable foundation of the Word of God. We are committed to providing expositional, biblically sound teachings on the infallible Written Word of God (the Bible). We also teach students how to study the Word for themselves. By helping young people to be firmly grounded on truth that is testified of in the Holy Bible, we equip young people to discern truth from error and to stand firm in their faith and in who they are in God.
3. Identifying and Cultivating Divine Callings Every person has at least one divine calling. We strive to help Christian youth identify their divine callings, spiritual gifts, and talents and to walk out their callings well—all to the glory of God. We strive to empower students to glorify God and partner with God for the Kingdom of Heaven to break forth into this world by walking out their callings well and living lives that are in alignment with God’s will for their lives.
4. Learning to Walk in Spirit and Truth We teach our students what it means to live a "Spirit-led" and “Spirit-empowered” life—worshipping God in Spirit and Truth (John 4:24). This means: • Spirit: We encourage and help young people to rely on the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit for daily sanctification; prayer; boldness; and to, in general, walk out one’s divine calling(s) well and live a life that is in alignment with God’s will for one’s life and, therefore, is pleasing to God. • Truth: We encourage and help young people to align every action and decision with the objective truth of Scripture. We help young people not only to have a firm foundation in the Word of God, but also to “walk with God” in every area of their lives through the spiritual empowerment they receive from the Holy Spirit.
