God still answers

Over these last few months, several of us have been doing the Experiencing God study. It is a wonderful study! I would recommend it to anybody. If you desire to hear from God and experience a move of His in your life, this study will help you recognize His voice and begin to take steps which are in His will for your life.

Many of us have experienced answered prayers lately too. Of course, Kim and I are praising God for our son’s upcoming wedding. We are thanking the Lord for our future grandkids. Many of you have been telling me about answered prayers in your life. Even so, there are those who feel as though God has been silent. In our last Experiencing God class, this came to light as we discussed prayer around the table.

On November 1st, we are reading a Psalm which was written by King David approximately 3,000 years ago. It talks about prayer and desiring an answer to his prayer. Maybe David was feeling like God was silent at this point. Or, this could have been a Psalm which included recognition of answered prayer. Let’s look at verse 1.

Psalm 4:1 says, “Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have given me relief when I was in distress. Be gracious to me and hear my prayer!”

When we pray, let’s focus on God’s righteousness. Let’s focus on the last times or greatest times He has been gracious to us and answered our prayers. He will do it again. He’s an amazing God!
